SweetSearch

SweetSearch is an authoritative, selective alternative to Google.  All of the web sites you find in SweetSearch have been examined for reliability.  For an example, search on the words controversial topics or search for your specific topic.

Congressional Quarterly database

Congressional Quarterly provides a long list of controversial topics and extensive articles.  You will need your St. Louis Public Library card number to access the database. Then

  • Go to http://www.slpl.org
  • click on Reference and Research
  • click on Databases
  • click on Congressional Quarterly
  • enter your SLPL card number and the school's PIN (5012).

To find the list of topics

  • click on CQ Researcher Online
  • click on Browse Reports
  • select Pro/Con.
